STEPHEN MARQ

Stephen is a "contemporary classical" piano artist who began playing by ear at the age of 5.  A son of a Lutheran Pastor in Hibbing, Minnesota, Stephen began taking advanced piano instruction from a Julliard trained teacher at age 9.

In 1986, Stephen began composing and recording his own music with two Minneapolis music producers and eventually released his first album in 1997.

Stephen's original piano music can be described as reflections of what touches him in his life.  Emotionally calming melodies that can reconnect one with their life's purpose is his goal. “I believe my music is to be for God’s glory.”

Stephen enjoys being a husband and father.

11 albums have been released to date.  Over 300,000 albums have been sold globally.

In 1998, Stephen Marq was invited by Steinway & Sons to become a member of the Distinguished Roster of International Steinway Piano Artists.

Stephen has traveled over 1 million miles to perform.

In 2023, Stephen is scheduled to releae another original piano album.
